THE FRIENDLY WAY TO DO COUCH TO 5K
You can do couch to 5K on your own, using an app, but it won't be as much fun as doing it with the help of experienced runners at Kingston Upon Hull AC (KUHAC).
Our next programme will start at 6:30pm on Wednesday 2 April in Peter Pan park and will run at the same time every Wednesday for 11 weeks. In that time, with lots of encouragement, you will go from running just a few seconds (with lots of walking in between) to being ready to run 5K (3.1 miles).
Each week you will be taken through warm up and cool down exercises so that everything is as safe as we can possibly make it.
During the course, you will be joined and encouraged by KUHAC members - including several who enrolled with us after completing the 2024 Couch programme - so there will be plenty of people to tell you from personal experience that it really works (some of them have already moved on to running 10Ks but you don't need to think about that just yet!).
Once you have completed the course, we will have a graduation day back at Peter Pan where we will take part in the weekly parkrun (on a Saturday morning) after which you will receive your commemorative Couch to 5K medal.
So what do you need to do? Just sign up for the course and turn up on 2 April at Peter Pan. It's all free and of course you do not have to join the club - although you will be very welcome if you decide to do so. All ages, shapes and sizes welcome!
