Each year the South Cave 10K has a designated charity. This year we decided to look for a local recipient and chose the Hull Animal Welfare Trust, not least because the runners all pass the entrance to their headquarters as they run down Pinfold and turn into Annie Med Lane. And also, of course, because they are lovely people doing a difficult job with more and more owners, and dogs, needing their help.
With the race being a sellout, we raised a magnificent £1014 for the Trust and, on 9th September, race director David Rivers, togther with Paul, Fynn and Catherine, took the cheque to present it to Holly Barker and Katie Jones at the Trust. And, as you can see in the photos, a couple of delightful puppies joined us to thank everyone for their efforts.
